I’m a big fan of blues music. I’ve played it for all of my life, in fact, the first band I was in was a blues band. This website is awesome, it deals with the voodoo aspects of the blues. Lot’s of cool info there.

I changed the oil in my Jeep, and got the A/C working properly, in preparation for my road trip. I’ve never mentioned my Jeep, so a little history is in order: I bought it new in 1999, a black Wrangler with a tan top, 5 speed manual, (I don’t count automatic Jeeps as real Jeeps) 4.0 inline six. It’s a great car. I actually got ill at the thought of selling it once. I’ll probably have it when I die.

The road trip will be about 4 days, going to visit my Younger brother, and my Older half brother. The odd part of the trip, however, is that I’ve decided to go to Kelley, Iowa, to place a call in one of the last remaining phone booths. Odd? Yes. Out of character for me? No. Not at all.

I’ll be sure to post plenty of pics of the trip.

I had planned on getting some yard work done, but it’s raining. So I’m going grocery shopping instead. And maybe to the pet store to get some stuff for the cats. Oh, the rock star life!! Ha ha ha!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while. Lots of cool stuff happening! The band has been gigging a lot, and I’m about to take a road trip to Iowa, so that will be cool! ( I grew up in Des Moines, and don’t get back very often) I’ll try to keep you guys more up to date.

I would really love to have a photographer to travel with us to some of our out of town gigs. You’d have to have a decent camera, a good eye, and a great attitude. I couldn’t really afford to pay someone much. A meal, some drinks, and a cool experience is about all I could offer. But it would be a boatload of fun. I’m going to have to find someone who fits the bill……

Our show last night at Docker’s in Hot Springs was awesome. Great crowd! We ended up playing from 8:00 to after 1:00, had folks dancing all night!

I was too busy (obviously) to take any pictures while the party was happening, but did get some great pics to show you what the place is like. I took these while we were setting up.

My guitars and amp. They painted all the railings to match my amp! (I’m sure it was just a happy accident)

My guitars, set up and ready to rock! The one on the right is my main axe, I used it for the entire show last night. Depending on my mood I’ll use the Telecaster on the left. It just depends on which side of the bed I wake up on I guess.

What you would see during a show, if you were me. And it were night. And there were colored lights hitting you in the face. And it was packed with people out there. But, you get the picture, right?

An awesome boat that was docked at the bar. People just boat right in, drink and dine, and then boat back home. What a life!

The stage, from the far end of the dock. You can just make out our gear in the distance. If you’re ever in Hot Springs, Arkansas I highly recommend checking out Docker’s Bar and Grill. You won’t be disappointed!
